Minerska Cove

Towards the exit from the channel steep cliffs give place to gorgeous caves, suitable for a swim and recreation. Minerska Cove seems to be an ideal place for such activities. The steep-sided portion of the coastline offers a truly spectacular experience to all those arriving in Šibenik by boat. On the left side of the channel the former Yugoslav People's Army built a complex of military facilities, including the barracks in Minerska Cove, warehouses and piers with related infrastructure and this location was, therefore, unknown even to Šibenik residents until about twenty years ago because they were strictly denied access to the complex.
